On a dull and cloudy day, the skinny alien and I arrived in 1Utama with one purpose.
For this,
Yup, this is THE thing that represents the culmination of 3420 minutes of sweat, blood and tooth fragment (no, seriously). No, it wouldn't turn water into wine, neither will it make you a cuppa of espresso. Well, perhaps u can use it to deep-fry chips in it or as a potty for toddlers (but that would only happen when the XX overrules the ball watching [no pun intended] XY).
Enough of sidetracking.
This is the English Premier League trophy, which is now in the hands of Manchester United FC after winning it in the recently concluded 2007/08 season. It was flown in by AirAsia (which is the official sponsor of low fare airline for Man Utd) for display at 1Utama for 8 hours on the 4th of June. And i could have easily missed this rare opportunity if not for my trusty ET.
Credit to where it's due. Ladies and gentlemen, plz put ur hands together for Ms Alien 'hearts-Scofield' Tan.
Of course, there were other activities like football on PS2 and foosball but the limelight of the event is undoubtedly, on the trophy. Thus, after a quick pose with it (nono, i'm not going to terrorised fellow supporters by exposing my idiotic pose with it), we continued the day doing what XX's are best at doing in 1Utama - shopping.
One remaining thought though.
Eh, Mr Fernandez, next time can bring in the Champions' League Cup as well ah? Thanks in advance.

Side note: Unfortunately, this auspicious day coincides with the day we have to start paying 40% more for petrol. The rush and chaos for last minute fill-up by fellow Msians caused my journey back home to be exactly 1 full hour instead of the usual 15 minutes drive for the 15km stretch. Thanz, my dear gowamen. Shall not go further than this lest 10 years worth of coupons for curry rice.
